An Obsession with Style's Book Club...

Between you and me, the latest by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus takes on a fictional look inside the breakdown of a rising star's life and her cousin who has been there since the beginning... at the start of this novel, I reminised about nights out on the town, but then the story quickly evolves into something intense, something so uncommon yet familiar that it made me think of a real star whose life sprialed out of the control as the character's in the book.. makes you wonder how something meant to be unreal seems so real... enjoy!!!

An Obsession with Style's Book Club...

I just finished reading Jennifer Weiner's latest book, The Next Best Thing... Her latest novel took us on a new journey but with a sense of familiartiy with her consistent writing style... The Next Best Thing involved Ruthie, someone that didn't let her differences stand in the way of her determination in the mean streets of Hollywood... she made you her friend and took you on her life's roller coaster ride... I hope this is one you too will get to enjoy as much as I did!!!

An Obsession with Style's Book Club...

I am currently reading where we belong by emily giffin... after seeing the movie Something Borrowed, which was based on the book of the same name by Emily Giffin, I started to look for her latest books... and this book does not disappoint... Emily Giffin has a writing style that gets you involved from early on, making you dive into the pages ahead because you just can't wait to find out what happens of which I am guilty of... yet, I continued to read the entire book, page by page as I longed to see how the characters got to where they were going... this is a tale of an old secret, lost love and how life will always take you where you were meant to be... Happy Friday!!!

An Obsession with Style's Book Club...

Years ago, I used to read only serious, mystery novels but then life got too serious... so I switched to reading chick lit with the occasional not so light reading mixed in... the latest book I read is The Rock Star in Seat 3A by Jill Kargman... 

Having read Jill Kargman's other books, I was anticipating her latest novel... while the story started off slow, I was eventually pulled in and could not put the book down without finishing... a definite beach read... stay tuned for future An Obsession with Style's Book Club posts... and all you Styled Obsessed members, book recommendations are welcome!!!
